viofy
is my digital library of recorded music, available for your listening pleasure, on any device, for freeā”
i prioritize music that is hard-to-find, out-of-print, or unavailable on major streaming platforms: house, jazz, techno, jungle, idm, ambient, free-improvisation, downtempo, rock, noise, field recordings, live bootlegs...
i take special care to curate the best-sounding, most-complete editions of all releases. the library also contains archives of friends' personal audio libraries (zunes, ipods, ssd's, usb's), preserved exactly as they were--no changes to file format or metadata.
as of today viofy holds approx. 3.6 terabytes of audio, most of which is provided in lossless, archival quality.
to be clear: viofy is nothing more than a streamable music library. it is not a paid subscription service, a tech-startup, or a social network. it does not aim to disrupt, or compete with, any other method of listening to music. it does not force you to interact with its contents in any specific way. viofy is literally just a living archive of music that i want to share with you in the most convenient way possible. those who wish to materially support this project can make an optional donation toward server & maintenance costs via my ko-fi.
